RESILIENCE and COMPASSION
Mauro Francis was born and raised in the Latin & Italian communities of East Vancouver. As a young man, strong role models kept him from taking self-destructive paths and encouraged him to build up his community instead. A former student of the East End Boys Club, Mauro went on to mentor there as he continued his passion for building communities & uplifting those around him. He knows that for our city to grow we need to build housing for young families and end the paralysis at City Hall.
Mauro's priorities for City Council:
- Fixing the multi-year waits for permits
- Making housing affordable for young people
- Crisis-level action for the mental health crisis
“I believe in fighting to make our neighbourhoods safer and more affordable for all Vancouverites.”
