Jonah Gonzales has kicked off his campaign as Progress Vancouver's candidate for Director of Electoral Area A.

"I'm excited to be running alongside Jonah. The residents of Electoral Area A deserve a strong voice, and I'm confident that Jonah will show up to bat for them," says Mark Marissen, Progress Vancouver's Mayoral Candidate.

Gonzales, a member of the Squamish Nation, is passionate about the need to build more housing in partnership with First Nations. With the soaring cost of housing in Metro Vancouver, families are getting pushed out— projects like Senakw are crucial to fixing the crisis.

A student, Gonzales is excited to connect with residents of the University Endowment Lands. He strongly supports an expansion of the SkyTrain to UBC.

"I'm excited to be joining Progress Vancouver's strong team of candidates," says Gonzales. "We have the ideas, the passion and the team to make Vancouver safer, fix the housing crisis, and make life more affordable."
